Interviews and Articles
The Evidence Room
For the Spring 2017 issue of ROM magazine, I interviewed Robert Jan van Pelt of the University of Waterloo’s School of Architecture. Together with a team of architects and scholars, he created The Evidence Room, an installation which examined the role of architecture in the Auschwitz concentration camp, constructed in the Second World War. The Evidence Room was on display at the ROM in summer 2017.
Wildlife Photographer of the Year
It was a real eye-opener for me to interview Paul Nicklen and Joel Sartore, two well-known wildlife photographers. Before I spoke with them, I had no idea how difficult it is to photograph wild animals up close in a non-invasive way. This is much more than just a job for these men: I was impressed by their dedication.
ROM Game Jam
Who says museums are all about the past? The ROM’s Game Jam, a hackathon based on the Museum’s collections, belongs very much in the present day!
